Educated at the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Cambridge, Peter enjoyed a successful 25-year career as a CBC Radio host and producer. His CBC years included stints hosting the Edmonton afternoon show Radio Active and leading the creative team on the award-winning national comedy program The Irrelevant Show. He may be the only person to appear on both Ideas and The Debaters multiple times. A member of the Speakers' Bureau of Canada, he frequently emcees conferences and events for the Alberta Safety Codes Council, CARNA (The College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta), CSA Group and many other organizations.
Peter has a background in comedy writing and performance. He's performed at the Edmonton and Edinburgh Fringes (and was featured on BBC radio's Best-of-the-Fringe showcase), and is a regular performer with Edmonton's improvised soap opera Die Nasty.
Peter is currently working on (among other things) a play, two podcasts and a new live comedy show His other hobbies include writing about himself in the third person – he really enjoys that.
